Who doesn’t love Peter Pan?

Disney is adapting Peter and the Starcatchers for the big screen and has already hired a writer to start working on the screenplay.

The 2004 children’s novel is a prequel to the classic story and was recently adapted into a hit Broadway production which was nominated for nine Tony Awards.

Since there have been four sequels published already, this could very well turn into the next big franchise for the studio.

Although this is a rehash of old material, at least we’re going to see the titular character embark on a brand new adventure.

She will play Elizabeth Olsen’s mother in a flick about two girls trying to get banged lose their v-card the summer after high school graduation. When Dakota Fanning falls for the same guy as Olsen, however, their friendship is tested for the first time.

All three are incredible actresses, so this already has the potential to be a very good coming-of-age film.

Fun fact: Naomi Foner, the movie’s writer and director, is Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal’s mom! They aren’t starring in it, as far as we know, but Maggie’s husband Peter Sarsgaard is.

We hope this movie is very good, girls (and guy)!

That’s what it’s sounding like for who’ll be taking up the role of Julianne Hough’s leading man!

Well…on the silver screen, of course!

Reportedly, Ryan’s beau and Rock Of Ages star Julianne is currently in talks to play the lead role in a film based on the Nicholas Sparks novel, Safe Haven!!

The actress would be taking on the character Katie Feldman, a mysterious young woman who moves to small town in North Carolina, where the residents start becoming suspicious of her and her shady past!

This would definitely be an interesting role for the Footloose actress!

We reported back in March that Keira Knightley was in talks for the role, as well.

The flick is slated to premiere in theaters February 8, 2013!
